American Rejects

Here is the poster to my latest project! It is one that is very near and dear to my heart! It is a great story that makes you think a lot about who you are and being ok with it. Twisted up in a love story and drama. The latest trailer can be seen here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=fLkpaJV-QDU The film is set to release September 22. More info to come on when and where. Below are a bunch of pictures on set.

This is my character Trina. She is sweet, kind, and has a case of compulsive hoarding. She is a "reject" and is the main character Maynard's love interest.

This is Maynard and Trina. Maynard is played by the very talented Rodney Carlson.

This is the first day of shooting.

This is me as Trina.

Early morning. Ready to shoot.
Trina with her bags and Maynard helping.

Day 2 of filming. Wasn't my wardrobe just amazing! haha

Day 3 of filming with all of the rejects. Me and Dustin Miller.

The group "American Rejects" We have a narcissist, kleptomaniac, pants wetter, cutter, stalker, a guy who stutters, Maynard who is OCD, and Trina who hoards everything she owns. This is the place where they go to feel normal.

Hanging out at the last day of filming!

Trina feels bad . . . want to know why? You'll have to see the movie! :)

48hr Film Project

The 48hr film project is now finished. Our film was crazy fun to be a part of. . . and just pure crazy! haha The cast and crew were amazing and we had an absolute blast all day making this film. It's pretty out there and cooky, but where's the fun in being normal? So here are some pictures of my crazy adventures on set of Cirque Du Sumpa and the link to watch the film yourself.
The picture above was one of my characters. I was lucky enough to be double cast!

This was a scene at a funeral home. We are bringing Yasmeen back to life!

Marmalade

There is a film competition that is coming to Utah this weekend called the 48hr film festival. What happens is any film makers in Utah create teams and in 48hrs have to create a short film from scratch. So teams can't cheat the night it begins each team is given a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue that they must use in their film. I am really lucky to be involved with an amazing team. This last weekend we did a mock shoot to practice. The above picture is a still of my character Karen in the film. Go to this link to see it! Let me know what you think!

High School Indie Film

"Return" was an independent film I was in right after high school. It was about a group of friends that went their separate ways after high school and then meet up a year later during the summer.

Then a bunch of mishaps happen and they have to deal with it as friends and foes. My character's name was Alex. She is a year younger than all the other characters so she is just finishing up high school. She is friends with all of the other characters because of her older sister Cameron. My character gets caught in a web of conflict between her sister, her secret boyfriend, her boyfriend's ex, a best guy friend who is falling for her, and loyalties to long time friends.

Alex was an extremely fun character to play and very challenging at the same time. The director wanted to try a new type of acting by placing our characters in situations that we knew nothing about and had to improv their reactions without prior knowledge. It was very challenging but a lot of fun!

Unfortunately the director still hasn't finished the film after 4 years, but I'm hoping maybe one day he will. I'll update when it happens.

Welcome!

Hello all! This is a new blog about my life in film! I will post all of my adventures about the magic of movie making! Hope you all enjoy!
